Andhra Paper reported standalone total income of ₹435.89 crore and net profit of ₹4.27 crore for the quarter ended 30 Sep 2026, according to a filing on 30 Oct 2026.

Standalone net profit fell 85.9% QoQ while total income rose 4.9%. Profit before tax was ₹5.72 crore, against ₹40.55 crore in the June quarter, while revenue from operations rose 8.2% QoQ to ₹426.07 crore. The notes say production and earnings in the quarter were affected by a planned annual outage of 12 days at the Rajahmundry facility, from 17 Aug 2026 to 28 Aug 2026.

Against the same quarter last year, when the company made a loss before tax of ₹27.75 crore, revenue from operations rose 17.7% YoY while other income fell 3.5%. Depreciation of ₹27.60 crore was up 2.6% YoY.

Other income was ₹9.82 crore, 2.3% of total income this quarter, against ₹21.65 crore in the June quarter. Finance costs of ₹5.34 crore were 1.2% of total income and rose 84.1% QoQ. Tax expense was ₹1.45 crore, against a tax credit of ₹7.49 crore a year earlier.

For the six months to 30 Sep 2026, revenue from operations was ₹819.84 crore, 8.5% above ₹755.50 crore for the same period a year earlier. The company is a pulp, paper and paperboard maker, and its notes say it has a single operating segment. At the 30 Oct 2026 close of ₹66.80 a share, the company's market value was ₹1,328 crore.

Inference

The filing says the Board approved the results on 30 Oct 2026, after an Audit Committee review on 29 Oct 2026, and that the statutory auditors, MSKA & Associates LLP, issued an unmodified report on the limited review.

The notes say that, on legal advice, the company believes the ₹21.02 crore environmental compensation levied by the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board is not expected to result in a probable outflow of resources at this stage. The company has appealed to the National Green Tribunal, Chennai Bench, and the matter is sub-judice.

The filing does not give the reason for the fall in other income from ₹21.65 crore in the June quarter to ₹9.82 crore, or the outcome of the appeal.
