Consolidated net profit grew faster than total income over the year: net profit rose 32.5% to ₹1,123.84 crore while total income rose 24.1%. Profit before tax rose 32.3%, close to the profit growth, and tax expense rose 31.8% to ₹563.83 crore, so the tax charge moved broadly in step with profit.
Other income is a small part of the group's earnings this quarter. At ₹168.22 crore it is 1.6% of total income and 10.0% of profit before tax, against ₹120.59 crore a year earlier. Finance costs of ₹102.21 crore are 1.0% of total income, and rose 7.3% against a 24.1% rise in total income.
The quarter follows the Lannett Company LLC acquisition, completed on 29 Jun 2026 for a purchase consideration of about ₹2,321.83 crore (USD 245.7 million). The filing does not give Lannett's contribution to revenue or profit for the quarter.
Quarter-on-quarter, net profit rose 8.9% while total income rose 10.8%. Profit before tax rose 11.4%, and tax expense rose 16.7%, so the tax charge grew faster than profit before tax in the quarter. The filing gives no reason for that change.
