Benares Hotels Q2 FY27 Results: Standalone Net Profit ₹6.56 Crore on Total Income of ₹32.82 Crore

Revenue grew a third but profit grew 8%, and the difference is depreciation. Revenue from operations rose 31.9% to ₹31.52 crore and net profit 7.9% to ₹6.56 crore, taking the net margin down to 19.99% from 23.82%. Depreciation rose 74.8% to ₹2.64 crore from ₹1.51 crore, a ₹1.13 crore increase that absorbs about a seventh of the ₹7.62 crore revenue gain (derived). The filing does not say what was added to the asset base.

Tax took 25.1% of profit before tax and finance costs are negligible at ₹0.11 crore, so the company carries almost no debt cost. Earnings per share are ₹50.44 against ₹46.76, high because the share count is small, about 13 lakh shares (derived from profit and earnings per share).

Benares Hotels is growing revenue quickly, but a much larger depreciation charge is holding profit growth to a fraction of it, so the margin is lower than a year ago.
