CCL Products (India) Q2 FY27 Results: Consolidated Net Profit ₹130 Crore on Total Income of ₹1,216 Crore

The group's profit rose far faster than its revenue, and the lower tax rate explains part of it. Revenue from operations rose 7.5% to ₹1,210.76 crore while net profit rose 29.0% to ₹130.11 crore, lifting the margin to 10.70% from 8.94%. Finance costs fell 20.4% to ₹25.98 crore and tax fell to 13.8% of profit before tax from 20.6%, so lower interest and lower tax both fed the result; had tax stayed at last year's share, profit would have been about ₹10 crore lower (derived).

The consolidated profit is three times the standalone ₹43.06 crore, so the subsidiaries earn the larger part of the group's profit, about ₹87 crore on these figures (derived). The filing does not give the split by subsidiary or the intra-group dividends that the consolidation removes.

The standalone fall in profit is a comparison with a year earlier that held a large other-income item. Net profit fell 61.6% to ₹43.06 crore while revenue from operations rose 22.5% to ₹685.06 crore. Other income was ₹72.95 crore a year ago and ₹5.74 crore now, and it made up about 53% of last year's profit before tax (derived).

Without other income, profit before tax was about ₹56.6 crore against about ₹63.6 crore a year ago (derived), a fall of about 11% on revenue that is 22.5% higher, so the core margin before other income narrowed. Finance costs fell 20.3%, so the squeeze is above the interest line; the filing does not break the costs down beyond noting that materials rose with sales.

Against Q1 FY27 profit nearly doubled from ₹22.40 crore, helped by a tax charge of 30.9% of profit before tax against 39.0%. For H1 FY27 revenue is ₹1,261.80 crore against ₹1,093.99 crore (+15.3%), and net profit ₹65.46 crore against ₹143.63 crore. The board accepted the resignation of the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective 14 November 2026, and appointed a successor.

Inference

CCL's group profit is growing on lower interest and a lower tax rate, while the parent's profit is below last year because last year's other income was exceptionally high.
