IDFC First Bank Limited has told the exchanges that Crisil Ratings has reaffirmed its Crisil AAA/Stable rating on fixed deposits of ₹1,60,000 crore, Crisil AA+/Stable on Basel III Tier II bonds aggregating ₹8,000 crore, and Crisil A1+ on certificates of deposit of ₹45,000 crore. The rating rationale is dated 16 Oct 2026.
Crisil says the ratings are driven by the steady scale-up of the business, backed by a stronger retail asset base and liability franchise, and healthy capitalisation, partly offset by profitability that remains constrained by relatively high operating expenses and credit costs. Fixed deposits were ₹1,40,913 crore at 30 Jun 2026, up 8.7% over 12 months and 40% of external liabilities, and 92% of them had a tenure of more than nine months.
