CRISIL reaffirms Vedanta’s AA+/Stable credit rating
- Credit rating
Vedanta Limited has told the exchanges that CRISIL Ratings Limited reaffirmed its credit ratings in a release dated 16 Oct 2026, published at about 5:45 PM IST. The rating is CRISIL AA+/Stable for its non-convertible debentures and long-term facilities, and CRISIL A1+ for its short-term facilities.
These are the same ratings as before. The filing lists the previous rating as CRISIL AA+/Stable/CRISIL A1+, so the reaffirmation leaves both the rating and its stable outlook unchanged.
Vedanta says the detailed rationale from the rating agency is available through a link given in the filing. The disclosure was made under Regulations 30 and 51 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.
Inference
A reaffirmation means the rating agency has reviewed the company and left its ratings unchanged. For lenders and bond investors, a rating such as AA+ is an indicator of the agency’s view of how well the company can meet its debt obligations, and a stable outlook means the agency does not currently expect a change.
For shareholders, the filing shows no change in the company’s credit standing as seen by CRISIL, so nothing moves in either direction. The agency’s detailed rationale, which is available through the link in the filing, gives the reasons behind the rating and is the place to look for the factors it is watching.
