Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has told the exchanges that it released its unaudited consolidated results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026 on 16 Oct 2026. Net profit for the September quarter was ₹124.39 crore, up 65% from ₹75.42 crore a year earlier, and revenue from operations rose 18% to ₹2,263.29 crore from ₹1,915.57 crore.

Revenue from operations was 1.3% above the ₹2,235.02 crore of the June 2026 quarter, while net profit was 13% below the ₹142.70 crore of that quarter. Profit before tax was ₹166.93 crore, against ₹102.20 crore a year earlier. Last year’s quarter included an exceptional item of ₹20.36 crore, and its profit before exceptional items and tax was ₹122.56 crore. Basic earnings per share were ₹1.85, against ₹1.11.

Of the quarter’s net profit, ₹119.34 crore is attributable to the owners of the company and ₹5.05 crore to non-controlling interests. For the half year, revenue from operations was ₹4,498.31 crore against ₹3,913.95 crore a year earlier, and net profit was ₹267.09 crore against ₹199.32 crore.

    Inference

Part of the rise in profit compared with last year reflects the absence of an exceptional item of ₹20.36 crore that was recorded in the year-earlier quarter. Before exceptional items, profit before tax rose from ₹122.56 crore to ₹166.93 crore.

Compared with the June quarter, revenue was little changed and net profit was lower. The filing does not explain the change, and the results statement gives the expense lines for readers who want to see it.
