Cyient reported consolidated total income of ₹2,243.60 crore and net profit of ₹132.50 crore for the quarter ended 30 Sep 2026. Standalone total income was ₹695.20 crore and standalone net profit was ₹102.80 crore for the same quarter.

Consolidated growth came from operations rather than other income. Revenue from operations rose 25.5% YoY to ₹2,235.00 crore, while other income fell to ₹8.60 crore from ₹50.00 crore. The filing does not explain the fall in other income.

Net profit fell 7.3% YoY even as total income rose 22.5%. Finance costs of ₹37.30 crore were 1.7% of total income, up from ₹15.90 crore a year earlier. The filing reports an exceptional item of ₹20.70 crore in the quarter without explaining its nature, and it reports a share of loss from an associate of ₹3.00 crore.

Standalone revenue from operations rose 16.2% YoY, while standalone net profit fell 28.3%. Other income fell 88.7% to ₹3.20 crore, and the standalone net foreign exchange loss in other income was ₹46.00 crore against a gain of ₹9.30 crore a year earlier. The filing does not give the reason for the foreign exchange loss.

Standalone profit before tax was ₹144.60 crore against ₹191.00 crore a year earlier, and tax expense was ₹41.80 crore, a tax share of 28.9% of profit before tax. The standalone figure for the year-earlier quarter includes other income of ₹28.20 crore.

Inference

The interim dividend of ₹12 per share, aggregating to ₹125.70 crore according to note 9, was declared on 22 Oct 2026, and the board fixed a record date that the filing text does not give. The consolidated EPS of ₹11.54 is not split out by share count in the filing.

The acquisitions of Kinetic Technologies, TAO Digital Solutions and the remaining 49% stake in CSSPL change the group's ownership and obligations. The filing gives the TAO upfront payment of ₹1,229.50 crore and contingent payments of ₹926.80 crore, but it does not state the consideration for the CSSPL stake, the reason for the exceptional item, or the effect of these acquisitions on future results.
