DCB Bank Q2 FY27 Results: Standalone Net Profit ₹236 Crore on Total Income of ₹2,300 Crore

Net profit rose faster than total income. Net profit was ₹236.39 crore, up 28.5% from a year earlier, while total income was ₹2,299.75 crore, up 14.5%. Against the June quarter, net profit rose 10.9% and total income rose 5.5%. Profit before tax rose 30.7% to ₹318.05 crore, and tax expense rose 37.3% to ₹81.66 crore, so tax was 25.7% of profit before tax against 24.4% a year earlier.

Other income grew faster than interest earned. Other income was ₹249.32 crore, up 34.0% from ₹186.09 crore, while interest earned, which the table carries as revenue from operations, was ₹2,050.43 crore, up 12.5%. Other income was 10.8% of total income and 78.4% of profit before tax. The filing says other income covers brokerage and commission, fees, foreign exchange earnings, profit or loss on sale and revaluation of investments, and income from sale of priority sector lending certificates.

Gross NPAs were ₹1,489.12 crore, 2.29% of gross advances, against 2.43% in the June quarter and 2.91% a year earlier. Net NPAs were ₹465.29 crore, or 0.73% of net advances, against 0.84% in the June quarter and 1.21% a year earlier. The Basel III capital adequacy ratio was 16.63%, up from 16.41% a year earlier but down from 17.03% in the June quarter. Return on assets, annualised, was 1.03% for the quarter, against 0.96% in the June quarter and 0.94% a year earlier.

Inference

The results were approved by the Board on 23 Oct 2026. The joint statutory auditors' limited review report, dated the same day, carries an unmodified conclusion; it excludes the Pillar 3 disclosures for 30 Sep 2026 (leverage ratio, liquidity coverage ratio and net stable funding ratio), which the Bank has placed on its website and linked in Note 8.

At 30 Sep 2026 deposits were ₹76,838.97 crore, against ₹64,776.52 crore a year earlier, and advances were ₹64,126.59 crore, against ₹52,974.54 crore. The cash flow statement shows ₹46.70 crore of dividend paid in the half year, and the Bank allotted 111,985 shares on exercise of stock options in the quarter.

What the filing leaves open is why other income rose 34.0% from a year earlier, and what the Bank expects for the coming quarters.
