DRI Searches United Spirits Locations in Industry-Wide Customs Act Exercise

United Spirits Limited has told the exchanges that the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence began a search on 16 Oct 2026 under Section 105 of the Customs Act, 1962, at multiple locations, the last of which finished at 20:30 IST. The company understands that the search operations are part of an industry-wide exercise by the revenue authority.
The company says it extended full co-operation and furnished the documents, clarifications and information the DRI sought during the search. It states there is no impact on its financial, operational or other activities as of now and that it will continue to co-operate as the matter progresses.
