Elecon Engineering Company Limited has told the exchanges that its board, at a meeting on 14 Oct 2026 that ran from 11:00 AM to 1:10 PM, approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026. Consolidated net profit for the September quarter was ₹96.35 crore, up 10% from ₹87.72 crore a year earlier, and revenue from operations rose 10% to ₹638.94 crore from ₹578.13 crore.

Revenue was 23% above the ₹520.56 crore of the June 2026 quarter, and net profit was 37% above the ₹70.35 crore of that quarter. Profit before tax was ₹124.76 crore, against ₹112.99 crore. Finance costs were ₹10.33 crore, against ₹5.69 crore, and depreciation and amortisation was ₹32.60 crore, against ₹25.28 crore. Basic earnings per share were ₹4.29, against ₹3.91.

For the half year, revenue from operations was ₹1,159.50 crore against ₹1,068.70 crore a year earlier, and net profit was ₹166.70 crore against ₹263.16 crore. The year-earlier half included an exceptional gain of ₹80.47 crore, net of tax, which the notes link to Eimco Elecon (India) Limited ceasing to be an associate in April 2025.

The board also declared an interim dividend of ₹0.50 per share, covered in a separate article.

    Inference

Profit and revenue grew by similar rates on the year, so the margin was little changed. The half-year profit is lower than last year’s because the year-earlier half carried the exceptional gain of ₹80.47 crore, which the quarter figures do not include.

Finance costs and depreciation were both well above their year-earlier levels. The filing reports two business segments, transmission equipment and material handling equipment, and the results statement carries the segment detail.
