Net profit rose 135.6% to ₹196.68 crore from ₹83.49 crore a year earlier, while revenue from operations fell 10.5% to ₹824.20 crore from ₹921.29 crore. Other income rose 78.3% to ₹65.75 crore. The consolidated statement prints a share of profit of joint venture entities and associates of ₹20.92 crore for the quarter, against a share of loss of ₹25.57 crore in the same quarter last year. Profit before tax was ₹248.87 crore against ₹120.36 crore.
Note 4 says the company terminated a contract in April 2016 after an investigating agency found that the contractor had submitted a bogus qualifying certificate. The contractor filed a claim of ₹409.61 crore before the Arbitrator, and the company filed a counterclaim of ₹129.07 crore. Arbitration was stayed sine die after a third-party creditor started insolvency proceedings against the contractor, and the company has filed its claims with the IRP. Management says it does not consider that any possible obligation on this account requires a future probable outflow of resources. The auditor's conclusion is unmodified and is not modified in respect of this matter.
The company paid a final dividend of ₹2.50 per share for FY 2025-26 on 9 Oct 2026, after shareholders approved it at the Annual General Meeting held on 18 Sep 2026. The Board declared a First Interim Dividend for FY 2026-27 with a record date of 5 Nov 2026, and the filing says it will be payable within 30 days.

Inference
The filing says the Board declared a First Interim Dividend for FY 2026-27, but the per-share amount is not stated in the text read. It also does not say why standalone other income rose or why the share of joint venture and associate results moved from a loss to a profit in the consolidated statement.
The auditor's limited review of both statements expressed an unmodified conclusion, and it is not modified in respect of the Note 4 matter. The Note 4 outcome remains open, as the filing describes the arbitration as stayed.
The company's market value was ₹14,155 crore at the 30 Oct 2026 close of ₹251.85 a share, according to Blacklitt's data. Engineers India operates in the infrastructure sector.
