HDB Financial Services Limited has told the exchanges that its board, at a meeting on 14 Oct 2026, approved the unaudited results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026, with an unmodified limited review report from its joint statutory auditors. Net profit for the September quarter was ₹7,802 million (₹780.2 crore), up 34% from ₹5,814 million a year earlier.

Revenue from operations was ₹50,053 million (₹5,005.3 crore), up 10% from ₹45,454 million, and 1% above the June 2026 quarter. Interest income rose 12% to ₹43,508 million. Finance costs were ₹18,171 million, against ₹16,940 million, and impairment on financial instruments fell to ₹7,299 million from ₹7,483 million. Employee benefits expense was ₹10,164 million, against ₹9,577 million.

Profit before tax was ₹10,437 million, against ₹7,822 million. Net profit was in line with the ₹7,852 million of the June quarter. Basic earnings per share were ₹9.39, against ₹7.01 a year earlier. For the half year, net profit was ₹15,654 million, against ₹11,493 million, and revenue from operations was ₹99,432 million, against ₹90,108 million.

The board also declared an interim dividend of ₹2 per share, which is covered in a separate article.

    Inference

Profit grew about three times as fast as revenue. The filing shows two reasons: impairment on financial instruments, the amount set aside for loans that may not be repaid, was slightly lower than a year earlier, and revenue grew faster than the finance costs and other expenses.

Compared with the June quarter, revenue was higher and profit was essentially flat. The filing is of the company’s own results and does not give asset quality ratios in the part reviewed here.
