Huhtamaki India Q2 FY27 Results: Standalone Net Profit ₹29.73 Crore on Total Income of ₹775 Crore

Total income rose faster than net profit. Profit before tax fell 19.8% to ₹39.43 crore, and net profit fell 19.1% to ₹29.73 crore.

The quarter carries a ₹9.60 crore exceptional loss. The notes say it relates to consolidating pressure-sensitive labels operations at two facilities and closing one manufacturing facility, and it includes accelerated depreciation of ₹3.57 crore and an employee settlement accrual of ₹6.03 crore. Before this item, profit before exceptional items and tax was ₹49.03 crore.

Finance costs of ₹3.07 crore are 0.4% of total income, so borrowing costs are a small part of the quarter's income. Other income of ₹5.93 crore is 15.0% of profit before tax, against 0.8% of total income.

For the nine months ended 30 Sep 2026, net sales were ₹2,070.36 crore, up 15.7% on the nine months a year earlier, according to the press release. Nine-month profit for the period was ₹99.06 crore.

The press release describes net sales of ₹748.10 crore in the quarter, up 23.7% on Q3 2025, and EBIT before exceptional items of ₹52.10 crore, broadly in line with a year earlier. The company also says EBIT growth for the nine months was underpinned by higher volumes, improved product mix and operational efficiency initiatives.

The filing says the company subscribed to 28% of the equity share capital of AMPIN Energy C&I Twenty-Five Private Limited, ₹27.6 million, on 10 Feb 2026 to meet the Electricity Act 2003 requirements for captive solar power projects. The filing says assets held for sale are expected to be disposed of over the next 12 months.
