The Indian Hotels Company Limited has told the exchanges on 9 Oct 2026 that CARE Ratings Limited, in a release dated 9 Oct 2026, upgraded the long-term rating on its bank facilities of ₹393 crore to CARE AAA; Stable from CARE AA+; Stable. The short-term rating of CARE A1+ was reaffirmed. The facilities are classified under the RBI as long-term and short-term bank facilities.
CARE says the upgrade factors in a continuous improvement in the company’s business and financial risk profile over the years. The company filed CARE’s press release along with the intimation, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI listing rules.
Inference
The rating is now at the top of CARE’s long-term scale, one notch above the earlier level, so the agency sees the company’s repayment capacity as stronger than before. The upgrade applies to bank facilities of ₹393 crore, which is the only borrowing covered by this action.
