Profit fell faster than income. Net profit dropped 34.4% YoY against a 20.5% fall in total income, and profit before tax fell 33.8%. Revenue from operations fell 21.4% to ₹286.76 crore, while other income rose 7.1% to ₹12.37 crore.

The effective tax rate was 25.3% this quarter, against 24.6% a year earlier, so tax did not account for the larger part of the fall in profit. Finance costs were ₹11.38 crore, 3.8% of total income, down from ₹12.16 crore a year earlier. Depreciation rose 1.6% to ₹4.99 crore.

The filing reports two segments, Construction and Real Estate, and says quarterly results may not be indicative of annual results. The Real Estate segment is shown with zero revenue for the quarter. Compared with the June quarter, total income fell 6.5% and net profit fell 3.5%, so the decline was steady across the two quarters shown.

The year-earlier base includes no exceptional item in the quarters shown. The filing's ₹64.33 crore exceptional gain relates to the sale of Azamabad land in the year ended 31 Mar 2026 and is not part of these quarters.

    Inference

The filing reports a board approval on 5 Nov 2026 and a limited review by K. S. Aiyar & Co. with an unmodified conclusion. It also records a dividend paid of ₹26.29 crore in the half year, against ₹30.52 crore a year earlier.

The filing does not state the reason for the fall in revenue from operations or net profit compared with the year-earlier quarter, so the cause of the decline is not known from this document. It also does not present consolidated results.
