Kalinganagar capacity, capex and the ethanol plant
The company says its Kalinganagar greenfield project was inaugurated on 14 Oct 2026, taking total installed ferro chrome capacity to 534,000 tonnes a year. The first furnace is operational, commissioning of the second has commenced, and hot metal tapping is expected soon. Ferro chrome production was 86,652 tonnes in the quarter.
The Board approved ₹375 crore of capex for increasing chrome ore raising and Low Carbon Ferro Chrome production. The investor presentation also cites a ₹1,000 crore investment to scale up mining operations, with approvals for 1.2 Mn TPA of ore capacity.

What the dividend and subsidiary investment mean for IMFA's shareholders
The interim dividend of ₹5 per share is 50.0% of the ₹10 face value. Shareholders on the register on 12 Nov 2026 are entitled to it, and it is to be paid on or before 03 Dec 2026. The ₹25 crore subscription keeps the Company at 100% of its wholly owned subsidiary, which the company says will let that subsidiary acquire the Company's aviation assets.
The filing does not say when the subscription will complete, what the subsidiary will earn, or how the ₹375 crore capex will affect results. The timeline for completing the subscription is printed as NA.
