Income grew faster than profit this quarter. Total income rose 30.3% year on year, with revenue from operations up 30.6%, while net profit fell 4.1% to ₹17.48 crore. Other income fell 23.7% to ₹2.76 crore, so the gap is in the operating line rather than in other income.

Profit before tax fell 4.5% to ₹23.85 crore, a little more than the fall in net profit, which is 4.1%. Tax expense was ₹6.37 crore, 26.7% of profit before tax, against ₹6.76 crore a year earlier. The filing does not explain the tax charge.

Finance costs rose from ₹1.90 crore to ₹5.63 crore, and depreciation rose 36.4% to ₹31.37 crore. Half-year finance costs were ₹10.83 crore, against ₹6.10 crore in the same period of the prior year.

Against the previous quarter, net profit rose 181.0% from ₹6.22 crore, while total income rose 16.0%. The company recorded an exceptional item of INR -6 lakhs (loss) in the quarter, as printed in the statement, and the filing does not give its reason.

    Inference

The filing shows a final dividend of 75% (INR 0.75 per share) for FY 2025-26, approved at the AGM on 26 Aug 2026 and paid during the quarter, and half-year dividend payments of ₹21.05 crore.

The Board approved an investment of up to ₹2.40 crore for 26% of a proposed solar SPV for captive power; the filing says the agreements will be intimated upon execution, and the timing and cost beyond this amount are not stated.
