Net profit grew faster than income, and the gap is largely below the operating line. Consolidated net profit rose 90.2% YoY on total income up 18.1%, and profit before tax rose 98.6%. Finance costs fell to ₹30.48 crore from ₹45.05 crore a year earlier, which is 8.4% of total income this quarter.

The quarter includes exceptional items, shown net as a gain of ₹22.09 crore. The notes give a lease termination gain of ₹41.64 crore on Lemon Tree Premier 2, Gurugram, net of assets written off, against a property-tax provision of ₹15.83 crore and a ₹3.35 crore provision on an associate investment and ₹0.37 crore of acquisition-related expenses. Without the net gain, profit before tax would be lower; the filing does not give that adjusted figure.

Tax rose to ₹31.11 crore from ₹13.90 crore, and the tax charge is 28.1% of profit before tax against 24.9% a year earlier. Consolidated net profit of ₹79.76 crore is ₹56.65 crore attributable to equity holders of the parent, with the balance attributable to non-controlling interests. Other income of ₹2.44 crore is 2.2% of profit before tax.

Standalone profit also grew faster than income. Net profit rose 30.1% YoY to ₹29.36 crore, while total income rose 24.6%, and profit before tax rose 23.7% to ₹39.47 crore. Standalone finance costs fell 16.0% to ₹7.36 crore, which is 6.5% of total income.

The standalone results show no exceptional items for the quarter. Tax expense was ₹10.11 crore, 25.6% of profit before tax, up 8.2% YoY. Standalone other income of ₹0.35 crore is 0.3% of total income.

Consolidated net profit of ₹79.76 crore is ₹50.40 crore higher than standalone net profit of ₹29.36 crore, and consolidated total income is ₹250.22 crore higher than standalone. Consolidated net profit grew 90.2% YoY against 30.1% for standalone, so the group figures moved further from the standalone figures than in the year-ago quarter.

The company says its results for the quarter and half year are not indicative of a full year's operation because of the seasonal nature of the hotel industry. Half year consolidated net profit after tax was ₹137.10 crore, and standalone ₹55.04 crore.

    Inference

The filing says the Board approved the results on 5 Nov 2026 and that the auditor, Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, issued review reports on both sets of results with no modification of conclusion.

The Group's Composite Scheme of Arrangement is at the application stage: an application seeking sanction was filed before the NCLT Chandigarh Bench on 9 Oct 2026, and the Scheme becomes effective only after further approvals and NCLT sanction. The filing does not give the expected timing of sanction or the effect of the Scheme on results or share count, and it does not say whether the lease termination gain will recur.
