NIIT’s CEO Pankaj Jathar resigns and the board appoints Anish Kumar Sarkar as chief executive

NIIT Limited has told the exchanges that its board, at a meeting on 14 Oct 2026 that ran from 3:04 PM to 3:47 PM, took on record and accepted the resignation of Mr. Pankaj Prabhakar Jathar as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 14 Oct 2026. He gives as his reason that he wishes to pursue other interests, and he ceases to be a key managerial person from that date.
Mr. Jathar will be relieved from the company’s service at the close of business on 22 Oct 2026, after which he also ceases to be senior managerial personnel under the SEBI listing rules.
On the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the board approved the appointment of Mr. Anish Kumar Sarkar as Chief Executive Officer and key managerial person with effect from 14 Oct 2026. The annexure to the filing sets out the details for both executives, and a copy of Mr. Jathar’s resignation letter is attached.
Inference
The change takes effect on the same day for both executives, so the company has a new chief executive from 14 Oct 2026 without a gap. Mr. Jathar stays in service for eight more days, until 22 Oct 2026.
