Profit moved against income this quarter: total income rose 2.9% from the June quarter, while net profit fell 11.5% to ₹30.94 crore. Profit before tax fell from ₹45.76 crore to ₹42.36 crore, and tax expense rose 5.9% to ₹11.42 crore, which is 27.0% of profit before tax.

The year-on-year comparison is against a weak base. The year-ago quarter had a net loss of ₹1.47 crore after an exceptional loss on assets discarded of ₹4.44 crore, shown before tax. Depreciation rose 66.4% to ₹18.21 crore against ₹10.94 crore a year earlier, and the filing does not give the reason for the change.

Other income of ₹3.12 crore is 7.4% of profit before tax this quarter, down from ₹5.77 crore in the June quarter. Finance costs of ₹15.55 crore are 2.3% of total income, a smaller share than the year-ago quarter's finance costs of ₹16.95 crore set against a much smaller income base.

    Inference

The filing states that the board approved the unaudited results on 03 Nov 2026 and that the statutory auditors gave an unmodified conclusion on the limited review. Paid-up equity share capital is ₹17.02 crore at face value of ₹10 each, and dividends paid in the half year were ₹3.40 crore per the cash flow statement.

The filing does not state the reason for the year-ago exceptional loss, the reason for the change in revenue from operations, or whether any dividend has been declared for the current period.
