Consolidated net profit rose 27.4% YoY to ₹65.64 crore, faster than total income, which rose 23.8% to ₹277.31 crore. Profit before tax rose 26.7% and tax rose 24.8%, so tax grew more slowly than profit before tax at this level.
Finance costs rose 32.6% to ₹129.67 crore, faster than total income, and equalled 46.8% of total income this quarter. Finance costs are the largest cost line in the consolidated statement.

Standalone total income rose 18.0% YoY to ₹254.62 crore and fell 6.5% from ₹272.34 crore in the previous quarter. Standalone profit before tax was ₹81.61 crore, up 19.5% YoY.
The standalone tax lines in the filing do not reconcile with profit before tax: after the current and deferred tax shown, the result differs from the net profit of ₹60.86 crore, and the filing does not explain the difference. Standalone basic EPS was ₹0.71 against ₹0.56 a year earlier, up 26.8%.
The standalone Regulation 52 table gives a gross NPA of 0.66%, a net NPA of 0.46% and a net interest margin of 6.43%. The company reports a single business segment, financing.
The consolidated results include the wholly owned subsidiary Nupur Finvest Private Limited, an RBI registered non-banking finance company. Consolidated total income is ₹22.69 crore higher than standalone. The statutory auditor, Saket Jain & Co, reported that nothing came to its attention that causes it to believe the statements contain a material misstatement; the review was limited, not an audit.
Inference
Consolidated basic EPS rose to ₹0.72 from ₹0.57 a year earlier. During the quarter the company allotted 46,27,240 equity shares of Re. 1 each at a premium of ₹44.74 per share on conversion of 2,500 FCCBs of USD 1,000 each, which the filing links to the share count. The debt-equity ratio is 2.83 times on both bases, and the asset cover on listed secured debt securities is 1.10 times. The company raised funds through non-convertible debentures and commercial papers in the quarter.
The filing does not say why finance costs or standalone impairment moved as they did, whether any dividend has been declared for the quarter or its record date, what the debentures and commercial papers raised will be used for, or how standalone tax and net profit reconcile with profit before tax.
