RailTel Corporation of India Limited has told the exchanges that it received a work order from the Higher Education Department of the Government of Odisha on 13 Oct 2026 at 2:10 PM. The order is for developing 83 digital application modules under the Comprehensive Digital Governance Platform, along with a resource deployment component, and integrating them with the existing ERP.

The size of the order is ₹48,97,80,255 including tax, or about ₹48.98 crore. The work is to be executed by 10 May 2027, and the order is domestic.

RailTel states that no promoter, promoter group or group company has an interest in the entity that awarded the order, and that the order is not a related party transaction.

    Inference

The order adds roughly ₹49 crore of work, to be carried out over about seven months. Because the figure includes tax, the revenue the company records may be lower than the headline amount.

The filing does not give a margin or say how this compares with RailTel's total order book. Investors who follow the company may want to look at its quarterly results to see how orders of this kind turn into revenue.
