Standalone profit before tax of ₹44.14 crore is after a one-time exceptional item of ₹7.12 crore. The filing describes it as an impairment of the investment in Epavo Electricals Private Limited, a joint venture, recognised after an interim re-assessment based on an independent valuer's report.
Standalone net profit rose 33.5% to ₹28.88 crore, slower than profit before tax (up 46.6%) and slower than tax expense (up 80.1% to ₹15.26 crore). Tax expense is 34.6% of standalone profit before tax this quarter, against 28.2% a year earlier. Standalone net profit fell 21.3% against the previous quarter, more than total income did (down 0.4%).
Other income rose to ₹7.43 crore from ₹2.28 crore and is 16.8% of standalone profit before tax. Finance costs fell 6.7% YoY to ₹28.33 crore but rose 54.6% QoQ. For the company as a whole, the filing says the board approved an acquisition of the remaining 50% of Epavo Electricals, which will make it a wholly owned subsidiary, and an investment of up to ₹50 crore in land in Rajasthan for future expansion. The company says the Extended Producer Responsibility obligation for non-ferrous scrap, effective 1 Apr 2026, cannot yet be quantified because the CPCB portal and pricing framework are not operational.
Inference
The filing records a dividend paid of ₹23.34 crore in the six months ended 30 Sep 2026, against ₹11.66 crore a year earlier, and a 1:1 bonus issue of 4,66,74,536 equity shares with a record date of 26 Dec 2025. Paid-up equity share capital is ₹46.67 crore at ₹5 a share.
The filing does not state the reason for the Epavo acquisition, its price, or its closing date, nor how the Rajasthan land investment will be funded or the size of the land. It also does not state a dividend for the current quarter.
