Profit rose 2.6 times and the share count rose faster than profit, so per-share earnings barely moved. Consolidated net profit rose 158.9% to ₹498.36 crore but earnings per share rose only 2.2% to ₹3.22. The bank's paid-up capital is ₹1,551.64 crore against ₹613.02 crore a year ago and net worth ₹42,061 crore against ₹14,977 crore (the standalone statement's figures), so the profit is spread over about 2.5 times as many shares. The bank describes itself as a subsidiary of Emirates NBD Bank.
Total income rose 21.6% to ₹5,401.65 crore, of which other income was ₹1,079.55 crore, about a fifth (derived). Consolidated profit is ₹16.6 crore above the standalone figure (derived), so subsidiaries add a little.

Operating profit almost doubled, and that outweighed higher provisions. Interest earned rose 23.2% to ₹4,322.09 crore and interest expended 12.0% to ₹2,191.16 crore, so net interest income is about ₹2,131 crore against about ₹1,551 crore, up 37.4% (derived). Operating profit before provisions was ₹1,396.13 crore against ₹728.39 crore (+91.7%), provisions and contingencies rose to ₹766.53 crore from ₹499.70 crore, and profit before tax was ₹629.60 crore against ₹228.69 crore. Net profit rose 169.9% to ₹481.77 crore, and tax took 23.5% of profit before tax.
Asset quality improved: gross NPAs were 1.02% of gross advances (₹1,456 crore) against 2.32% a year earlier and 1.30% in June, and net NPAs 0.29% against 0.57%. Provisions are still 55% of operating profit (derived), against 69% a year ago.
The capital adequacy ratio was 30.10% against 14.71% a year earlier and 33.28% in June. Earnings per share were ₹3.11 against ₹2.92 and ₹3.38 in June, lower than June although profit was higher, because the share count rose during the quarter (about 155 crore weighted shares against about 75 crore in June, derived). For H1 FY27 net profit is ₹735.47 crore against ₹378.85 crore. The balance sheet shows deposits of ₹1,56,272 crore and net advances of ₹1,42,314 crore.
Inference
RBL Bank's profit rose by more than two and a half times on a near doubling of operating profit, while its capital and share count more than doubled, so profit per share rose only about 6%.
The filing does not explain how the capital was raised in the text read, so the bank's returns on the larger capital base are not shown by it.
