Revenue from operations drove the growth in total income. Revenue from operations rose 43.9% year on year to ₹59.50 crore, while other income of ₹0.75 crore was 1.2% of total income. Other income rose 20.3% over the same period, so the gap between the two lines widened.
Profit grew more slowly than income. Net profit rose 22.7% to ₹4.14 crore, against 43.5% growth in total income, and profit before tax rose 23.9% to ₹5.66 crore.
Against the previous quarter, total income rose 6.9% but net profit fell 20.3%, from ₹5.19 crore to ₹4.14 crore. Tax expense of ₹1.52 crore was 26.9% of profit before tax, compared with ₹1.20 crore a year earlier, when it was 26.3% of profit before tax.
Finance costs fell 7.7% year on year to ₹0.65 crore, which is 1.1% of total income. The notes state there were no extraordinary items for the period.
Inference
The filing states that balances under trade payables, loans and advances and other current liabilities are subject to confirmation and reconciliation, with any adjustments accounted for in the year of confirmation or reconciliation. The notes also say the prior period figures have been regrouped or reclassified where necessary.
The filing gives no dividend. The reason for the change in total income and profit against the corresponding half year is not stated, and neither is the reason for the quarter-on-quarter fall in net profit.
