Income grew faster than profit against the year-ago quarter. Revenue from operations rose 18.1% to ₹130.46 crore, while other income fell to ₹0.22 crore from ₹2.49 crore, so other income is now 0.2% of total income. Net profit fell 16.6% to ₹8.78 crore, even though profit before tax rose 48.8% to ₹11.07 crore. The gap sits in tax: the company booked a tax expense of ₹2.28 crore against a tax credit of ₹3.10 crore a year earlier.

The year-ago quarter carried an exceptional profit of ₹4.66 crore, as stated in the filing, so the year-ago base is not a clean comparison. The filing does not give the reason for that exceptional item.

Finance costs rose 22.9% YoY to ₹3.85 crore and 27.7% QoQ, which is 2.9% of total income. The filing does not give a reason for the rise.

Standalone total income rose 31.5% YoY to ₹113.70 crore, faster than consolidated income. Revenue from operations rose 35.2% to ₹113.48 crore.

Consolidated net profit is ₹0.20 crore lower than standalone. Standalone net profit rose 38.0% QoQ, faster than consolidated net profit, which rose 7.8%.

Standalone finance costs were ₹3.16 crore, 2.8% of total income. The filing does not give a reason for the rise in finance costs.

The filing says the board approved the results on 31 Oct 2026, and the auditor, Yelamanchi & Associates, issued a limited review report on both sets of results with no modification. The consolidated results include Sigachi US INC, Sigachi MENA FZCO and Trimax Bio Sciences Private Limited.

The filing notes an exceptional loss of ₹116.35 crore in the half year ended 30 Sep 2025 in both statements; the filing does not give its cause. Paid-up equity share capital is ₹38.21 crore at face value of ₹1 a share.

Net IPO proceeds of ₹89.70 crore are to be utilised, of which ₹32.30 crore for a CCS project at Dahej, Gujarat, is shown as unutilised. Blacklitt data puts the company's market value at ₹1,007 crore, and its latest reported quarter (Q1 FY27) at a consolidated net profit of ₹8.14 crore.

    Inference

The board has proposed two appointments: Awanindra Kumar Singh as Additional Whole-Time Director (Professional, Executive) and Sridhara Narasimha Sastry as Additional Independent Director (Non-Executive), each effective 31 Oct 2026 subject to members' approval. The filing sets out a postal ballot notice for both. The filing does not say when the ballot will be held or whether members have approved the appointments, and it does not give the reason for the exceptional items in the year-ago periods.
