Two plants, two phases each
The Haridwar plant's DGBB channel adds 2 production lines to its existing 4, with production beginning in December 2026 for the first phase and March 2027 for the second. At the Pune plant, the TRB channel gains one machine-addition channel and one further production line on top of 6 existing lines, with production starting March 2027 and July 2027.
The filing puts existing utilisation at approximately 90% at Haridwar and approximately 85% at Pune. Those are the rates the company reports for the lines being expanded.
The investment against the company's size
The stated investments total ₹140.4 crore, of which ₹62.6 crore is for Haridwar and ₹77.8 crore for Pune. Against Blacklitt's market value for the company of ₹7,277 crore at the 03 Nov 2026 close, the total is about 1.9%.
The company gives the rationale for both expansions as enhancing manufacturing capacity to support customer demand and reduce trading volumes. The filing gives that reason in the company's own words and adds no figures for it.
Same board meeting, separate item
The same board meeting approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026, and noted the launch of the SKF Vertevo brand on 3 Nov 2026. The company says the company name remains SKF India Limited. The capacity approval is a separate item in the filing.
What the expansion means for SKF India's shareholders
The company will fund both expansions from internal accruals, and the filing names no outside borrowing for them. The ₹140.4 crore total is the sum of the four stated investments, which the filing gives by plant and phase.
Not stated: the output or revenue the added channels will bring, whether earnings will change, and the reason trading volumes are expected to fall. The next dated step is production at Haridwar from December 2026.
