Size and scope of the York hotel
The board approved on 5 Nov 2026 a capacity addition by construction of a hotel at York Winery in Gangavarhe village, Nashik, held by Artisan Spirits Private Limited. The filing puts the hotel at 30 to 40 rooms and says it would raise the existing room capacity of 155 keys in Nashik by approximately 20%. The expansion is to be undertaken by the subsidiary, subject to necessary approvals from concerned authorities.
The York site is now used for winery operations, including wine manufacturing and production. The company says those operations will be replaced by the hotel, so the hotel takes over space that is currently a production site. The period within which the addition is to be added is March 2028.
How it fits the hospitality business
The company says its hospitality portfolio has three resorts in Nashik: The Source at Sula, Beyond by Sula and The Haven by Sula. It describes the York hotel as strategically located alongside The Haven and as the fourth hospitality property in its portfolio, strengthening its presence in wine tourism.
The approximate ₹25 crore investment is about 2.1% of the company's market value of ₹1,163 crore at the 05 Nov 2026 close. The hotel will be funded through internal accruals and borrowings, the company says.
What the York hotel means for Sula Vineyards' shareholders
The company is adding a hotel of 30 to 40 rooms with an investment of about ₹25 crore, to be added by March 2028. The company says the hotel is part of its focus on wine tourism and hospitality.
Not stated: the total cost beyond the approximate investment, the split between internal accruals and borrowings, the revenue or profit the hotel is expected to bring, the effect on results, and the status of the approvals from concerned authorities. The next dated step is the March 2028 completion period.
