Tata Consultancy Services Limited has told the exchanges that its board, at a meeting on 8 Oct 2026, approved the audited results for the quarter and six months ended 30 Sep 2026. Consolidated revenue from operations for the September quarter was ₹73,188 crore, up 11% from ₹65,799 crore a year earlier and up from ₹72,275 crore in the June 2026 quarter.

Consolidated profit for the period was ₹13,934 crore, up 15% from ₹12,131 crore, and ₹13,420 crore in June, with ₹13,884 crore attributable to shareholders of the company. Earnings per share were ₹38.37, against ₹33.37 a year earlier. Employee benefit expenses were ₹41,890 crore, against ₹38,606 crore, and other expenses were ₹11,131 crore, against ₹8,248 crore. For the six months, revenue was ₹1,45,463 crore against ₹1,29,236 crore and profit was ₹27,354 crore against ₹24,950 crore.

The board declared a second interim dividend of ₹12 a share of ₹1 face value for FY 2026-27, with a record date of 14 Oct 2026, payable on 30 Oct 2026. The June quarter’s results included a ₹668 crore exceptional charge for the settlement of a legal claim.

    Inference

Profit grew faster than revenue, because the year-earlier quarter carried an exceptional charge of ₹1,135 crore for restructuring and employee costs rose more slowly than revenue. Other expenses grew by about 35%, the fastest of the main cost lines.
