Profit grew faster than income year on year but fell from the previous quarter. Consolidated total income rose 31.4% to ₹157.31 crore against Q2 FY26, and net profit rose 51.6% to ₹17.84 crore from a year-earlier base of ₹11.77 crore. Against Q1 FY27, total income was 0.3% higher, while profit before tax fell 14.9% and net profit fell 12.5%. The filing does not give a reason for the quarter-on-quarter fall.
Tax absorbed a similar share of profit before tax in both years. Consolidated tax expense of ₹6.38 crore is 27.4% of profit before tax of ₹23.26 crore, against 26.9% in the year-earlier quarter, so the lower tax rate does not explain the year-on-year profit growth.
Consolidated net profit does not reconcile with the lines above it. Profit before tax less tax gives ₹16.88 crore, which is ₹0.96 crore below the reported net profit of ₹17.84 crore. The statement also shows profit attributable to owners of the parent of ₹17.04 crore, ₹0.80 crore below net profit. The filing text read does not explain either difference.

Standalone net profit rose 30.2% YoY to ₹16.06 crore, faster than total income of ₹150.29 crore, which rose 28.4%. Against Q1 FY27, net profit fell 20.1% while total income fell 0.8%, so the fall in profit was much steeper than the fall in income.
Standalone tax expense of ₹6.24 crore is 28.0% of profit before tax of ₹22.30 crore, compared with 27.2% a year earlier. Standalone net profit is ₹1.78 crore below consolidated net profit, and standalone total income is ₹7.02 crore below consolidated total income. The consolidated figures add the subsidiaries and the associate and joint venture named in the auditor's review report.
The auditor's limited review report carries an emphasis of matter on Note 5, the Panipat land acquisition by HSIIDC, and states that the conclusion is not modified. HSIIDC has raised a demand of ₹3.73 crore in connection with the allotment of that land. Management believes the matter will not have a material impact on operations or financial results.
Inference
The filing reports a capital infusion into Tinna Rubber Chile SpA, a wholly owned subsidiary, as under process, without giving an amount. Per share, consolidated basic EPS of ₹9.46 is consistent with profit attributable to owners of ₹17.04 crore, which implies about 1.80 crore shares, but not with net profit of ₹17.84 crore.
The company expects to receive compensation for the Panipat land, but the filing does not give its amount or timing, and the outcome of the plant relocation evaluation is not stated. Management's view that the HSIIDC matter is not material is the company's own.
The filing does not explain the quarter-on-quarter fall in profit, or the gap between consolidated net profit and profit attributable to owners, and it does not state the amount of compensation or the date of any relocation decision.
