Growth in consolidated total income is mostly operating. Revenue from operations rose 7.5% YoY to ₹2,049.06 crore, while other income fell 5.9% to ₹20.43 crore. Other income is 16.2% of consolidated profit before tax of ₹126.14 crore, so the profit before tax rests largely on operations.
Finance costs fell to ₹14.90 crore from ₹21.24 crore a year earlier, which is 0.7% of total income. Consolidated net profit of ₹93.65 crore is ₹7.06 crore higher than the standalone figure, and the tax expense of ₹32.49 crore is 25.8% of profit before tax.
The notes say the sugar business is seasonal and that performance may vary from quarter to quarter. The filing does not give the reason for the step-up from the ₹3.65 crore profit of the previous quarter.
