Wipro Limited has reported audited results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026. Consolidated revenue from operations under Ind AS was ₹24,752.7 crore, up about 9.1% from ₹22,697.3 crore in the same quarter a year earlier and about 1.1% from ₹24,478.6 crore in the June 2026 quarter.

Profit for the quarter attributable to equity holders of the company was ₹3,199.7 crore, down about 1.9% from ₹3,262.4 crore a year earlier and down from ₹3,356.3 crore in the June quarter. Basic earnings per share were ₹3.23 against ₹3.10 a year earlier. For the half year, revenue was ₹49,231.3 crore against ₹44,831.9 crore, and profit attributable to equity holders was ₹6,556.0 crore against ₹6,598.9 crore.

The company completed the buyback of 60 crore equity shares at ₹250 each, a total cash outflow of about ₹15,051 crore including transaction costs, during the half year. The tender period ran from 11 to 17 Jun 2026, and the shares were extinguished on 25 Jun 2026. Paid-up equity share capital fell to ₹1,981 crore from ₹2,097 crore a year earlier.

The results were approved by the board on 15 Oct 2026, and the statutory auditors, Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, issued an unmodified opinion. The company reports in ₹ million, and figures here are converted to ₹ crore.

    Inference

Revenue grew, but profit was a little lower than a year earlier, so earnings per share rose only because the buyback reduced the number of shares. A buyback shrinks the share count, so the same profit is spread over fewer shares.

The filing does not give guidance for later quarters, nor the split of revenue by segment in this extract. Investors may want to look at the company's segment results and commentary to see where the growth and the pressure on margins came from.
