Income grew much faster than the year-earlier quarter, and revenue from operations drove most of it. Revenue from operations rose 127.1% to ₹375.74 crore, while other income rose 8.0% to ₹26.21 crore, so other income was 6.5% of total income this quarter.

Net profit grew more slowly than income. Net profit rose 96.6% YoY against 111.8% for total income, and the net profit margin fell to 25.50% from 27.48%. Tax expense rose 110.2% to ₹34.88 crore, which is 25.4% of profit before tax of ₹137.39 crore.

Finance costs fell to ₹0.64 crore from ₹4.63 crore a year earlier, which is 0.2% of total income this quarter. The filing does not give the reason for the fall. Other income is 19.1% of profit before tax, and the filing does not give the reason for its rise.

Against the previous quarter, net profit rose 31.0%, slightly faster than total income at 30.4%. Depreciation rose 3.2% QoQ to ₹6.92 crore. The company describes a single reportable business segment, manufacturing artificial sweetener, contrast media intermediate, pharma intermediate and APIs.

    Inference

The company allotted 1,58,10,276 equity shares to qualified institutional buyers at ₹506 per share, aggregating ₹800 crore under a Qualified Institutional Placement. Paid-up equity capital rose to ₹37.86 crore from ₹34.69 crore a year earlier, and share issue expenses of ₹19.39 crore were paid in the six months to 30 Sep 2026.

Equity dividend paid in the six months was ₹22.71 crore, with none in the prior-year period. The filing does not say how the QIP proceeds will be used, and it does not give a reason for the large rise in investments and cash balances after the QIP.
