Avenue Supermarts Limited, which runs DMart, has told the exchanges that it released its unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter and six months ended 30 Sep 2026 on 10 Oct 2026. Consolidated net profit for the September quarter was ₹742.98 crore, up 8% from ₹684.85 crore a year earlier, and revenue from operations rose 18% to ₹19,644.01 crore from ₹16,676.30 crore.

Revenue was 4.5% above the ₹18,794.53 crore of the June 2026 quarter, while net profit was 14% below the ₹860.44 crore of that quarter. Profit before tax was ₹1,024.84 crore, against ₹944.79 crore a year earlier. Basic and diluted earnings per share were ₹11.40, against ₹10.53. The net profit margin was 3.78%, against 4.11%, and the operating margin was 7.09%, against 7.28%.

Finance costs rose to ₹63.90 crore from ₹34.96 crore, depreciation and amortisation to ₹317.75 crore from ₹253.47 crore, and employee benefits expense to ₹447.14 crore from ₹376.83 crore. For the six months, revenue from operations was ₹38,438.54 crore against ₹33,036.00 crore, and net profit was ₹1,603.42 crore against ₹1,457.66 crore.

    Inference

Profit grew about half as fast as revenue, so the margin was lower than a year earlier. The filing shows finance costs and depreciation both well above their year-earlier levels, which points to a larger base of borrowing and assets, although the statements do not describe the cause.

The June quarter was stronger in profit than the September quarter even though revenue was lower. The filing gives no breakdown of revenue by store or region.
