Avenue Supermarts’ A1+ commercial paper rating reaffirmed as the limit rises to ₹1,500 crore

Avenue Supermarts Limited, which runs DMart, has told the exchanges on 9 Oct 2026 that ICRA Limited has reaffirmed its [ICRA]A1+ rating on the company’s commercial paper and assigned the same rating to an enhanced limit. The rated amount is ₹1,500 crore, up from ₹1,300 crore.
The rating letter, dated 9 Oct 2026, is addressed to the company’s Chief Financial Officer and was filed along with the intimation. It is the only instrument in the rating action.
Inference
A1+ is the highest short-term rating on ICRA’s scale. The action raises the ceiling on commercial paper by ₹200 crore, so it permits more short-term borrowing but does not say the company will use it.
The letter reviewed here does not set out the rationale for the rating or any use of the enhanced limit.
