Net profit grew faster than income this quarter, but from a low base. Consolidated net profit of ₹40.15 crore rose 148.7% from ₹16.14 crore a year earlier, while total income rose 19.4%. Profit before tax rose 144.1%, to ₹52.80 crore.

Finance costs of ₹86.26 crore are 4.5% of total income, against ₹38.51 crore a year earlier. The filing does not state the reason for the rise in finance costs.

Other income of ₹1.84 crore is 3.5% of profit before tax, and tax of ₹12.65 crore is 24.0% of profit before tax. The filing records no exceptional items in the quarter, against a ₹151.92 million exceptional gain in the year-ago quarter.

Consolidated net profit fell 66.7% from ₹120.64 crore in the preceding quarter, when profit before tax stood at ₹162.07 crore. The filing does not state the reason for the fall in quarterly profit or for the change in inventories and purchases.

The company operates in a single reportable segment, retail and wholesale sales of consumer durables and electronics through stores and online platforms, so the results carry no segment split.

    Inference

The filing records that the board approved the results on 05 Nov 2026 and that the auditor, Walker Chandiok & Co LLP, issued an unmodified limited review report on both sets of results. The EPS figures are not annualised.

The filing does not state the reason for the rise in finance costs, the fall in quarterly profit, or how the Cloudnine Retail and EMIL CSR Foundation subsidiaries contributed to the consolidated results.
