The Federal Bank Limited has told the exchanges that it released its unaudited standalone results for the quarter and half year ended 30 Sep 2026 on 16 Oct 2026. Net profit for the September quarter was ₹1,386.09 crore, up 45% from ₹955.26 crore a year earlier and 18% above the ₹1,176.93 crore of the June 2026 quarter.

Total income was ₹9,211.42 crore, against ₹7,824.33 crore a year earlier, with interest earned of ₹7,720.98 crore, against ₹6,742.16 crore. Operating profit before provisions was ₹2,225.37 crore, against ₹1,644.17 crore, and provisions and contingencies were ₹342.19 crore, against ₹363.09 crore.

Asset quality improved on the year. Gross NPAs were 1.32% of gross advances, against 1.83% a year earlier and 1.52% at the end of June, and net NPAs were 0.17%, against 0.48%. The capital adequacy ratio under Basel III was 16.84%, against 15.71% a year earlier. Basic earnings per share were ₹5.61, against ₹3.89.

For the half year, net profit was ₹2,563.02 crore against ₹1,817.01 crore a year earlier, a rise of 41%.

    Inference

Profit grew faster than income this quarter. The filing shows operating profit up by about a third and provisions slightly lower than a year earlier, which together explain much of the gap.

Gross and net NPA ratios were both lower than a year earlier and lower than in June. The capital adequacy ratio shows how much capital a bank holds against its risk-weighted assets, and it was higher than a year earlier. These are standalone figures, and the filing also contains a consolidated statement.
