Net profit grew faster than total income. Standalone net profit rose 18.7% YoY to ₹127.42 crore, while total income rose 11.1% to ₹821.26 crore. Revenue from operations, at ₹808.03 crore, rose 12.0%, and other income fell 25.2% to ₹13.23 crore.

Other income made up 1.6% of total income and 7.7% of profit before tax of ₹172.29 crore. Finance costs were ₹1.52 crore, or 0.2% of total income, down 28.0% from ₹2.11 crore a year earlier. Depreciation rose 3.7% to ₹28.65 crore.

Against the preceding quarter the picture differs. Net profit fell 33.4% from ₹191.18 crore, while total income rose 2.9%. The earlier quarter included an exceptional gain of ₹53.62 crore, and the statement shows none in the quarter under review. The filing does not give the reason for that gain.

Net profit margin widened to 15.52% from 14.53%.

The company has one reportable operating segment, chemical. Commercial production of vacuum salt began at the soda ash plant on 31 Aug 2026, with installed annual capacity of 1,70,000 metric tonnes. Commercial production of bromine began at the Kathivadar plant in Gujarat on 12 Oct 2026, with installed annual capacity of 2,800 metric tonnes, as reported in Blacklitt's earlier article on that start.

Net profit for the six months ended 30 Sep 2026 was ₹318.60 crore, against ₹252.14 crore a year earlier. The filing does not say how much revenue the two new units have contributed so far.

    Inference

The board approved an additional capital budget of approximately ₹88.09 crore for FY 2026-27. The filing does not say what the budget will be spent on.

The statutory auditor, Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, issued an unmodified limited review report on the standalone results. The report notes that a trust included in the statement, which its auditor has not reviewed, is not material to the company.

The filing does not say what expected revenue or margin the new bromine and vacuum salt production will bring.
