Income grew faster than profit at the top line, and the net profit margin narrowed. Total income rose 49.9% to ₹522.10 crore, while net profit rose 41.3% to ₹44.07 crore, so the net profit margin fell 0.51 percentage points to 8.44%. Profit before tax rose 43.0% to ₹60.57 crore, and tax expense rose 47.7% to ₹16.50 crore, which is 27.2% of profit before tax.
Other income is a small part of the result: ₹0.95 crore, or 0.2% of total income and 1.6% of profit before tax. Finance costs of ₹3.61 crore are 0.7% of total income, and depreciation of ₹18.28 crore rose 13.7% from a year earlier. Revenue from operations of ₹521.15 crore accounts for almost all of the income, so the growth is in the operating line.
The consolidated figures include two subsidiaries, GNA Axles Inc. (Michigan) and G N A Mobility Limited. The auditor says these were not reviewed by their auditors; their total assets were ₹34.32 lakh at 30 Sep 2026, with a net loss after tax of ₹17 lakh in the quarter. Management says these results are not material to the group. The auditor also notes that the year-earlier consolidated figures were approved by the Board but not subjected to review.
Consolidated net profit of ₹44.07 crore rounds to the same figure as standalone. In the filing's lakh figures, consolidated profit for the period is ₹4406.78 lakh against ₹4406.95 lakh standalone, and profit before tax is ₹6056.69 lakh against ₹6056.86 lakh, so the gap is small and sits below the crore rounding. Basic EPS is ₹10.26 consolidated and ₹10.27 standalone.

The standalone figures match the consolidated income line exactly, and differ only slightly on profit. Total income is ₹522.10 crore, up 49.9% YoY and 10.7% QoQ. Net profit of ₹44.07 crore is up 41.3% YoY and 15.0% QoQ, which is faster than income on a quarter-on-quarter basis, and the margin of 8.44% is 0.51 percentage points lower than a year earlier.
Basic EPS is ₹10.27 against ₹7.27 a year earlier and ₹8.93 in the previous quarter. Finance costs are ₹3.61 crore, up 17.0% YoY, and exceptional items are nil in all periods shown. The company's notes say the whole business is one segment, Auto Components, so segment reporting does not apply.
For the half year ended 30 Sep 2026, standalone total income is ₹993.86 crore and profit for the period is ₹82.39 crore, which is 8.3% of total income. The cash flow statement shows dividend paid of ₹12.88 crore in the half year, which is 15.6% of half-year profit.
Inference
The results show higher income and profit for the quarter, with tax taking 27.2% of consolidated profit before tax. Basic EPS is ₹10.26 on consolidated figures and ₹10.27 standalone, and the cash flow statement records ₹12.88 crore of dividend paid in the half year. Working from paid-up capital of ₹42.93 crore at ₹10 face value, that payment is about ₹3.00 a share; the filing read does not state a declared dividend for this quarter.
Trade receivables rose to ₹698.27 crore from ₹582.55 crore a year earlier, a 19.9% increase, and the filing does not explain the rise. The reason for the higher deferred tax charge in the half year is also not stated, and the effect of the unreviewed subsidiaries on the group figures is not quantified beyond the amounts above.
