Hindustan Zinc (NSE: HINDZINC) has launched two zinc alloys, VedAZ and VedAyush, for the galvanizing industry, it said in a filing on 03 Nov 2026. The filing says the products serve domestic and international markets, and the company says the alloys are designed to improve coating consistency and the long-term performance of galvanized steel.

    What the two alloys are

VedAZ is a zinc-aluminium alloy for galvanizing baths. The company says it gives better control of aluminium levels in the bath, supports uniform coating thickness, and has a composition designed to reduce dross formation and zinc losses.

VedAyush is a zinc-aluminium-magnesium alloy. The company says the magnesium is meant to improve corrosion resistance, coating adhesion and surface stability, particularly in humid and coastal conditions. The launch date is 03 Nov 2026.

Where the launch sits in the business

The press release says Hindustan Zinc operates a 30,000-tonne-per-annum zinc alloy melting and casting facility at Rajpura Dariba, Rajasthan, through its wholly owned subsidiary Hindustan Zinc Alloys Private Limited. CEO and Whole-time Director Amarendu Prakash said the company wants value-added products to become a larger part of its portfolio.

What the launch of VedAZ and VedAyush means for Hindustan Zinc's shareholders

The filing reports the launch of two new products and a stated aim to grow value-added zinc sales, but it gives no figures for them. Not stated: expected sales, volumes or prices, whether capital spending changes, and any timeline for sales beyond the launch date. The filing gives no further dated step.
