Hubtown Limited has told the exchanges on 9 Oct 2026 that its subsidiary Rare Townships Private Limited (RTPL) allotted 1,22,60,843 Class A equity shares of face value ₹10 each to the company, at an issue price of ₹30 a share including a premium of ₹20. The total consideration, paid in cash, is ₹36,78,25,290. The allotment date was 8 Oct 2026.

The company’s holding in RTPL rises from 72.91% to 74.65% of its Class A equity share capital. The shares were subscribed to on a rights basis, and the company says the deal is at arm’s length. RTPL builds and develops residential and commercial property, and its turnover was ₹9,802.79 lakh for the year ended 31 Mar 2026.

    Inference

The investment is a subscription to a subsidiary’s rights issue, so cash moves from the parent to a group company and is not a purchase of an outside business. The stake rises by about 1.7 percentage points.
