IIFL Capital Services tells NSE there is no undisclosed information behind a news item on a ₹2 lakh SEBI penalty

IIFL Capital Services Limited, formerly IIFL Securities Limited, has replied to the National Stock Exchange’s letter of 14 Oct 2026 seeking clarification on a news item titled “SEBI imposes 2 lakh penalty on IIFL Capital Services over online bond platform violations”. The company submitted its response on 16 Oct 2026.

The company says the news item relates to an adjudication order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), imposing a monetary penalty of ₹2,00,000 in connection with observations from an inspection of the company’s online bond platform provider activities. It says it had already disclosed receipt of the order to the exchanges on 14 Oct 2026.

The company states that there were no negotiations or events of the kind the exchange referred to, and that it is not aware of any unpublished price sensitive information or other material information not yet disclosed that could explain any movement in the price or volume of its shares. On the impact, it says that apart from the ₹2,00,000 penalty there is no material impact on its financial, operational or other activities, and that it has taken corrective actions and compliance measures on the observations in the order.
