Inference
The allotment of 15,578 shares on RSU exercise takes the share count to 4,05,82,92,156 shares of ₹5 each, effective 23 Oct 2026. The 9,640 RSUs approved by the board would be granted from 1 Nov 2026 and vest equally over three years at a par-value exercise price; their effect on the share count is not stated.
On the balance sheet, goodwill is ₹14,864 crore, up from ₹12,117 crore at 31 Mar 2026, after ₹3,238 crore paid for acquisitions net of cash acquired in the half year. Claims against the group not acknowledged as debts total ₹3,225 crore. Nothing in the text says what the acquisitions add to revenue, why depreciation rose faster than revenue, or the outcome of the U.S. Department of Justice investigation, which the company says it cannot yet predict.
The company's FY 27 guidance is revenue growth of 1% to 2% in constant currency, revised, and operating margin of 20% to 22%, retained. No reason for the guidance revision is given.
