Pitti Engineering Limited has told the exchanges that the investigation or search proceeding under Section 67 of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, begun by State GST officials at its Maharashtra manufacturing unit, concluded on 13 Oct 2026 at 11:30 PM. It follows the company’s intimation of 8 Oct 2026, and the disclosure was made on 14 Oct 2026. The company says it cooperated fully and the process ended peacefully.
The company says certain discrepancies were identified for the period from FY 2022-23 to FY 2026-27, and that it has agreed to pay the GST liability together with interest. The tax is ₹63,38,195 and the interest is ₹14,53,635, made up of three items: reverse charge mechanism (tax ₹26,88,245, interest ₹10,00,096), TDS credit wrongly availed (₹27,98,731 and ₹1,46,129) and reversal of input tax credit (₹8,51,219 and ₹3,07,410).
The company says the tax it will pay will be available to it as input tax credit, subject to eligibility under the law, and that there is no material impact on its financials or business.
Inference
The total of about ₹78 lakh is small. The company has agreed to pay it instead of contesting, and says part of the tax can be claimed back as credit if it is eligible.
The filing says the company has agreed to provide further documents the GST officials seek. Whether any further demand follows is not stated.
