Saatvik Green Energy (NSE: SAATVIKGL) has begun commercial production of solar PV modules at its Gopalpur facility in Odisha through its wholly owned subsidiary Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited, it said in a filing on 02 Nov 2026. Production started with effect from 2 Nov 2026 under Phase I, with capacity of about 1.3 GW.

Phase I of the Gopalpur facility

The Gopalpur facility is at National Highway-16, Chamakhandi, Gopalpur Industrial Park, Gopalpur, District Ganjam, Odisha. The establishment of the facility forms part of the objects of the company's Initial Public Offer, as disclosed in the prospectus dated 23 Sep 2025.

The prospectus describes a proposed 4 GW solar PV module manufacturing facility. Phase I, with capacity of about 1.3 GW, is the first part of that plan, and the remaining capacity is proposed to be commissioned in subsequent phases.

The company says the start of production is a significant milestone in its manufacturing expansion plans and is expected to strengthen its production capabilities and enhance operational scale.

    How it fits the company

Phase I covers about 1.3 GW of the 4 GW proposed in the prospectus, or about 33% of the planned capacity. The company's latest reported quarter, Q1 FY27, showed consolidated total income of ₹519.73 crore and net profit of ₹5.36 crore.

What the Gopalpur start means for Saatvik Green Energy's shareholders

The company's capacity in solar PV modules now includes a production phase at Gopalpur, which the company describes as part of its expansion plans. The filing does not say the capital spent on the facility, when the remaining phases will be commissioned, what revenue or profit the Phase I capacity will contribute, or how far it is being utilised.
