Aditya Birla Capital Limited has told the exchanges on 8 Oct 2026 that ICRA Limited has reaffirmed or assigned ratings to its instruments. Total rated amount rises to ₹2,22,043.40 crore from ₹2,08,268.10 crore. Bank lines were enhanced to ₹1,05,000 crore from ₹90,000 crore and carry [ICRA]AAA (Stable)/[ICRA]A1+.

Non-convertible debentures of ₹67,211.15 crore, a programme of ₹15,000 crore, retail debentures of ₹1,500 crore and other debt programmes are reaffirmed at [ICRA]AAA (Stable), and commercial paper of ₹20,900 crore at [ICRA]A1+. Existing perpetual debt of ₹1,700 crore is reaffirmed at [ICRA]AA+ (Stable), and a new ₹2,000 crore perpetual debt programme is assigned the same rating. Ratings on ₹2,938.70 crore of debentures and ₹286 crore of subordinated debt were reaffirmed and withdrawn.

    Inference

The bulk of the rated debt is at the top of ICRA’s long-term scale, and perpetual debt is one notch lower, which is usual for a subordinated instrument. The enhanced bank lines and new perpetual programme widen the borrowing capacity that the ratings cover, though the filing does not say how much will be drawn.
