Ador Welding Limited has told the exchanges that the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) matter it had disclosed earlier, on 14 Jul 2023, has been disposed of by the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class (9th Court), Bhiwandi, by an order dated 13 Oct 2026. The court directed payment of a fine of ₹34,00,000 under Section 357 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The company says it paid the ₹34 lakh in court on 13 Oct 2026 and received the certified copy of the order on 14 Oct 2026. The violation alleged was contravention of Section 17(3) of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016: possessing welding wire (flux-cored) without holding any valid authorisation or licence. The company says there is no material impact on its financials or operations.
Inference
The matter is closed with the payment of the fine, so there is no continuing proceeding in this case. The amount, ₹34 lakh, is small for the company.
The filing says the case was about possessing a product without a valid BIS licence. Shareholders may want to look at how the company describes its compliance with product standards in later disclosures.
