Net profit grew faster than income. Consolidated net profit rose 187.5% YoY while total income rose 36.9%, and profit before tax rose 221.3%. Tax expense rose 380.2% to ₹59 crore from ₹12 crore, so the gap between profit before tax and net profit widened in percentage terms against the year-earlier quarter.

Other income fell to ₹5 crore from ₹11 crore, and is 0.3% of total income this quarter. Revenue from operations, at ₹1,585.80 crore, rose 37.7% YoY, so the growth in total income comes almost entirely from operations. Other income is 2.3% of profit before tax of ₹226.73 crore.

Finance costs fell 24.9% YoY to ₹44.63 crore, which is 2.8% of total income. The notes do not explain the fall. Depreciation rose 16.5% to ₹80.35 crore.

The consolidated results include the share of profit of an associate, Fourvolt Solar Private Limited, of ₹29 lakh for the quarter, based on accounts not reviewed by its auditors. Auditor V S S A & Associates issued an unmodified limited review conclusion, but did not review three subsidiaries, whose results were reviewed by other auditors and furnished to the auditor by management.

Standalone net profit rose 259.7% YoY to ₹170.73 crore, faster than total income, which rose 35.3%. Profit before tax rose 243.9% to ₹229.86 crore against ₹66.83 crore a year earlier.

Standalone tax expense was ₹59.13 crore, which is 25.7% of profit before tax, against ₹19.37 crore a year before. Standalone other income of ₹5.57 crore is 2.4% of profit before tax.

The notes do not state the reason for the difference.

The results show an exceptional item only in the year ended 31 Mar 2026, of ₹11.74 crore consolidated and ₹6.54 crore standalone, and none in the quarters shown. Paid-up equity share capital is ₹25.49 crore at face value of Re. 1 per share.

    Inference

The half-year statements show dividend paid of ₹50.99 crore in the period ended 30 Sep 2026, in both the standalone and consolidated cash flow statements. The results statement does not declare a dividend for the current period.

The filing does not say what the company plans to do with its borrowings or capital expenditure, and the notes give no reason for the fall in finance costs.
