Ather Energy’s insurance subsidiary receives IRDAI registration to distribute life, general and health insurance

Ather Energy Limited has told the exchanges that the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has granted a Certificate of Registration, dated 15 Oct 2026, to Ather Insurance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ather Energy. The subsidiary is registered to act as a Corporate Agent (Composite) for the distribution and servicing of life, general and health insurance, under the IRDAI (Registration of Corporate Agents) Regulations, 2015.

Ather Energy says the registration will let it, through the subsidiary, diversify its revenue by using its existing customer base to create recurring revenue opportunities. It lists two expected benefits: more diverse revenue streams, and a better experience for the company’s customers and retail partners.

The registration is valid from 15 Oct 2026 and stays in force, subject to payment of the annual fee, until IRDAI suspends or cancels it. The filing does not give any figures for the expected revenue.
